The Platatac 110L LW Pack Cover is a near essential item for the organized operator. Regardless of what waterproofing you may be doing inside your pack, you should be waterproofing the outside, so your pack doesn’t absorb 4 litres (read kilograms) for you to lug around.  Yep, you should be individually waterproofing the essentials you need to keep dry for the mission and the things that you’ll curl up and snivel against (which you’ll also want dry, initially) but a pack cover should also be used. This pack cover runs to 110 litres for a good reason; there’s little disadvantage for having too large a pack cover (just tuck it in) but having a pack cover that ends up being too small is highly annoying, and doesn’t work as a ‘cover’ as such.

The 110L LW Pack Cover has a zip section that runs around in a U shape, so you can access your pack lid and external pouches without removing the entire cover. It also features a stash pocket, to keep it organised and out of the way, during the usual clear, cool, charming days while you carry a pack.

Pack covers also have great utility if you need to cache your pack or other equipment and leave it behind while you approach a target, can assist in reducing the thermal signature of your position, help camouflage a fighting position or OP and generally turn you into the digger that solves problems on today’s ‘transparent battlefield’.
