PLATATAC LC SMAS
The Platatac SMAS (Smoke, Mags & Stuff) Pouch is designed to carry a single M18 smoke grenade, similar-sized pyrotechnic or EO, up to two 5.56 mags or a single 7.62 mag. Shock cord ‘bungee’ & cord lock adjustment around the pouch for added security or to hold smaller items in place. The height adjustable and removable front flap is laser-cut laminate and closes with hook & loop. Included with the pouch are additional fittings for optional ‘buckle silence kit’, or shingle style retention.
Ultracomp® Fabric
Blue Force Gear's proprietary high-performance laminate, ULTRAcomp®, far exceeds the military standard air textured nylon in tear and abrasion resistance. Its hydrophobic features allow products to stay dry and light, whereas air textured nylon retains water and gets even heavier when wet. Blue Force Gear has attained the perfect blend of art and science to create a truly unique material - ULTRAcomp®. ULTRAcomp® combines the properties of a rubber-based laminate - resistance to tear, abrasion, water, bacteria and fungus - and added a Cordura® fabric facing for colour or pattern and reduced IR signature. This is a case where the sum is greater than its parts. The combined strength of the two materials becoming one allows us to push the limits on weight savings while exceeding established standards of strength and durability.
